I was just on YouTube watching a segment from Young Turks about Congress' "contraception hearing panel" and how there is not a single woman sitting on the panel or even a woman being used as a witness/expert to discuss contraception.
But before viewing that, I had to sit through this unbelievable anti-union ad:

Apparently there a bunch of them. These are ads for the Employee Rights Act that Tom was talking about last Monday.

Yes, a right-wing group has created these to try and build anti-union sentiment in the general public. Unions are aware of this and will be creating counter commercials. The four unions at MCTC are meeting over the lunch hour this Friday to educate our members about the ant-union constitutional amendment that the some state republicans are trying to get on the ballet next year. This sort of stuff is having the effect of getting union members (and other citizens) more active. It also is a direct tie in to much of what we are discussing in the class that happened earlier in the 20th century.
